We are pleased to announce the appointment of Yulia Smourova, Partner, Co-Head of Tax at SL LEGAL, as Deputy Chair of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2024, Yulia has been actively working within the Tax Committee as the head of the working group on currency regulation. Now, in her new role as Deputy Chair of the Committee, Yulia, together with the committee team, will focus on advancing the interests of the Chamber’s members, forming a consolidated business position for the Federal Tax Service, organising meetings with government representatives and the business community, as well as addressing many other matters.
Yulia is a recognised expert with over 20 years of experience in tax law, currency regulation, and private wealth ownership and management advisory. She provides legal and tax support to Russian and international companies, banks, as well as private clients on matters related to the currency transactions regulation.
The Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (Kammer Russland) is the largest international business association in Russia, established in 2007 to support and develop economic cooperation between Germany and Russia. It represents the interests of German companies in the Russian Federation and Russian companies in Germany, bringing together around 900 members.
